poofy-card

Welcome back to my blog to everyone that reads it! I have been working on a special thing for all of my fans! I have now joined Poofy Organics and am now a business owner! I would love it if you could all support me on this newest endeavor of mine. My goal is to help get the word out about this wonderful products! They are organic, all natural, 100% gluten free, cruelty free, and they are just amazing. I have been a customer for well over a year and I have finally decided to join. Don’t worry this is not one of those MLM posts where I try to get you to join too. You will join if interested and on your own time. I just want you all to know how special these products are. They are hand made and organic certified. The woman who created it, created it because of her mother who had breast cancer.

Have you ever checked the back of your products? If you have, you are ahead of most people. It took me until 2 years ago to actually start reading food labels. It was when I was doing Whole 30 and oh my goodness, was that a hard thing to do! Reading every label it brought it to my attention just how awful some of these ingredients we ingest are! That’s when I decided to start looking into what we put on our body. Our bodies absorb most of the stuff we come into contact with! You wouldn’t believe how much toxins we are soaking up in our skin. Aluminum, Polysorbate 80 (or of any kind), and some of the “natural” labels are not even real.

I would love it if you all could not only keep following my blogs and supporting me here, in my writing, but could you also follow me on Facebook. At the top of this blog above the banner is a link to both my Facebook and Instagram!

Please comment here and ask any questions you may have or if you’ve used Poofy what is your favorite thing about them?

I will soon be on Facebook and provide live videos, I also have a group that I can invite you to so you can learn more about our products!

The Battle

Life is constantly moving in all different directions. It sometimes goes so fast that I feel like I can’t catch up with anything. The days just go by and I still haven’t gotten everything in my life completed by the end of the day. It really leaves me feeling defeated and hopeless. I’ve been feeling this way for way too long. It’s time to get control, keep control, and satisfy the necessities I have in life.

The last thing I want to do is make my blog feel as though I am writing it for media purposes or being paid to write something, so all of my work is authentic and my actual feelings. It’s Veronica in the flesh.

The battle is usually only half the struggle, for me though, it seems to be like the whole damn thing. It’s hard to get up in the morning knowing that I have absolutely zilch control over my life right now. For me, it’s pinpointing when I lost control and how to get it back. You may be wondering, what control am I referring to? Let me elaborate….I feel that I’ve lost control over my body, my mind, my house, and financial freedom.

In the months of empowering other women to do the best they can in life, I’ve lost my own empowerment and that’s not a fun thing to go through. I’ve lost my positive outlook on life and I guess everyone goes through these times. Let’s start with my struggles:

Parenting

As a parent, it is super difficult admitting that you’re not doing something right. Here I am, full disclosure, I’m not doing something right.  I read a post the other day that said blaming your children for your dirty house is a terrible excuse and you should be able to clean it regardless of having kids. The thing about that is, when you have so many kids (we have six) and they are super young in age, the house is going to get messy and keeping it clean is going to be difficult. Both my husband and I can clean all day long and our children will literally follow behind us and destroy what we have done. If I want a spotless house I won’t be able to do anything but clean it, 24/7. My older 4 children seem to not understand what neatness is. They will pretend to pick up the house and their messes, then sit right back in front of whatever electronic that has their minds intrigued. It’s time I put a stop to that.

Financial Freedoms

Financial struggles happen to all of us and I’ve been the person that received a $500 utilities bill and didn’t know how the hell I would pay it. I used to have to run around our small town and try to get help from businesses when that would happen. That’s not what I’m talking about here. We’re not necessarily struggling financially, which I am thankful for. It’s the lack of extra money. We want things and we can’t always buy what we want. I see so many people who decide they don’t want to cook that night and they run out and buy these big ass meals and they always have extra money. Somewhere along the line, I messed up and didn’t budget very well and now I have to fix it before we can have any extra income. I want to make a promise to myself that I will somehow rise above this and get back on track so that we can save money and spend money. (Before anyone comments anything assholeish we have six kids but we don’t get food stamps, so yea there’s not that extra money).

Body Image

Carrying a baby in you is such a beautiful experience and it was amazing to feel those little flutters and kicks…. and then giving birth is such a spiritual awakening. Now lets times this by six and now I have a body that I don’t love. Prior to getting pregnant with our last son, I was working on being healthy and eating right, exercising. I would exercise multiple times a day for up to 2 hours a day sometimes. I would do it on my breaks (because I work from home), before bed, after I woke up, any time I thought I needed to exercise. No, I wasn’t skinny and I was obsessed with trying to lose weight, which was not healthy at all. Now, I’m like two in a half years after giving birth to our last son and I am ashamed of how I look. I cry over it. I have to gain control and I need to exercise and diet the proper way. I’ve stopped drinking Dr. Pepper, and I have tried Keto, Paleo, and Whole 30, some things just don’t work for me very well. Now, I am attempting to up my water intake, drink water in the morning, lower my caffeine intake.

These are just some of the struggles I’ve been facing in 2018. If you’re anything like me you tend to want things to happen right now and you’re super impatient. I have a support group for health on Facebook, it’s called Health Crunch and I will share it to my Facebook page!

Purge…AND… I’m out✌🏻

Wait… purge?

Have you ever just needed someone’s attention and it’s like you’re screaming so loud but yet no one can hear or see you? Almost as though you’ve become a ghost to people that matter to you. Now don’t get me wrong I am very much aware that people have their own lives and they must live them. However, I am a firm believer that we all need the comfort of other people and to have others in our lives. It’s not healthy to be lonely.

What am I getting at?

Three years ago I left the face of the book, friends, family and everything. The tension and drama got so bad that I was unable to handle the stress of FB. Well, last year I realized how important it is to stay in the zone with my kids school and I can do it easily but FB. Which made me reactivate it and thus starting an entire new chapter in my social media frenzy. I am calling it quits again. I don’t want to be that close to people. I don’t want to check my FB 24/7 to see what others are doing, I don’t want to see someone who dislikes me or me dislike them liking things and then creep on their stuff, I don’t want to feel entrapped in the world of FB and all the problems that come with it. Thus… I am not deactivating it but I will not be participating in my FB profile.

What does this even mean?

It means though I will have an active profile and have friends on there I will not be updating you on my life. Now, I may continue to add photos of the kids every now and then. I will be on my group and still running it. I will have messenger installed on my phone in case teachers need to reach me. I will be available for contact. I will also be running my FB Page with the same name.

All Other Social Media….

I have deleted all my social media apps from FB, Snapchat, all the way to Instagram. If you really want to find me I guess you would know how.

I will be updating you on my recent Keto results and blog changes so please follow me to stay up to date!

Raising a Good Child

Being a parent can be pretty tough some times. You are in charge of raising these little people into being either a good person or a bad person and then allowing them to achieve adulthood. It’s not always that simple. You spend the first 4-5 years of their lives either being the best parent you can be and trying to spend every single minute of their “babyhood” with them or blowing them off and pawning them onto other people. Then when they do get into school, this is the first time you see what type of person your child is going to be and how they will treat others. Are they going to be crazy and beat people up or are they going to be giving and kind, or walked all over?

As a mother of going on six boys, I know how different each kid can be and it’s not always the parent that makes the child that way. Sometimes it’s the environment or their genetic make up. Sometimes it is because their parents either were around a lot of people or around not so many. From the first time I became a mother to this new baby, my main goal is to be able to spend as much time as I can with all of my kids, to be there when they need me, so that they know that no matter what happens, I got their backs. That’s one thing my kids will tell you, that their mom is always here for them. I go to their school parties, chaperone their field trips, go to every single parent teacher conference, and I actively request updates from their teacher multiple times during the month. I’m that proud mother sitting in the crowd when her child achieves a simple student of the week. I’m that defensive mother that shows up at the school when someone doesn’t treat my child just right. But, in all, no matter how much time I spend with my kids, it’s always surprising to see how they interact when I’m not around or when they are around kids their own age.

I have two kids in school as of right now, I have an 8 year old who is in second grade and a 5 year old who is in Kindergarten. Both kids act crazy at home, one more than the other. They’re very open with us at home. My 8 year old was diagnosed with a Sensory Processing Disorder in Pre school and Selective Mutism. He doesn’t talk and hasn’t talked in school this entire time. It doesn’t stop him from testing his teachers and their limits, to see how far they will allow him to go. He’s been written up for throwing pencils and misbehaving when a sub is in charge. My 5 year old is the complete opposite, he’s very quiet and shy, but he is very giving. His teacher told me that if they are doing centers and someone else wants to play there, he hands them the little pin to play there and he’ll go to another station. He’s quiet and one day they had a sub and he was the only one in the class not to act like a dinosaur. She personally pulled him aside to thank him for being so good and she messaged me. Now, my older son has also earned a lion paw for helping another student get his back pack and things such as that. So, these two are very much helpful, but they are very much different.

Respect is the number one thing we need to be able to accomplish as parents. It starts at home. It does not start with you demanding respect from your child, no, quite the opposite. It starts with you respecting the child first, you know… treat others how you want to be treated? I do my best to treat my child like a person. They are very much capable of feelings and choices. They know right from wrong. I get asked all the time why I don’t cut my 5 year olds hair or my 3 year olds. My five year olds hair is long for a boy, but he’s requested to keep it that way. He doesn’t want a hair cut and likes his hair the way it is. I let him choose this, because it’s his hair and I wouldn’t like someone forcing me to get my hair cut if I didn’t want it cut, in fact, I had that happen. I was forced to get my hair all chopped off because of my egg donor wanting it to be cut off. I was very upset about it. My 3 year old, well, his hair is a fro and he looks cute that way, of course if he wanted his hair cut I’d let him, but he doesn’t seem to mind his curls, and if he’s okay with them, so am I. You may be thinking that, that is an awfully young age to allow your kids to choose whether or not they get their hair cut, but I tend to feel that when it comes to parenting, there’s more important things to argue over than a simple hair cut. My older son likes getting his hair cut, but he prefers to have it styled a certain way. Which is okay with me as well.

You can’t just blow off your Childs emotions because you feel a certain way. Your emotions are not superior just because you’re an adult. Your feelings don’t matter any more than theirs do. And you’re supposed to put your kids feelings above all else.

Happy Halloween-2016

It is officially the first holiday of “The Holidays Season” and it’s such a great feeling except, what is up with our weather. It’s like 80 degrees outside and it’s Fall?? I guess it’s normal to wear shorts in some parts of the country during this time of year. Even so… Happy Halloween to all those people out there.

My 5 year old received his first Student of the Week ever this year on Friday. I was in the gym watching all the kids who weren’t supposed to wear mask, wearing them anyways and the overexcited children talking so loud because they had a school Halloween, excuse me “Fall” Party that day. It got me to thinking, why are people such babies? I remember when I was a kid and got to wear my costume to school, parade around the block, and then go eat the cookies at my party.. I had fun. It wasn’t about religion or monsters. People are just huge party poopers! Just because we dress up and act all crazy on Halloween does not mean that we are going to start a ritual and start a magic spell to possess you and some of us are Pagans. We don’t look at Halloween parties as a time to celebrate our religion.

Schools have taken every single “religion” name out of parties. Our school parties are “Fall” “Winter” “Valentines Day”. Because of course Valentines Day is not a religious party at all. Again, I’m Pagan, I do not celebrate Christmas the way the world does, but I call it Christmas, I have Santa Clause for my children, as this is something children with imaginations should be able to grow up and celebrate and have memories, wonderful childhood memories.

Happy Halloween everyone and have a safe trick or treating night. My kids are Cap’n America, Sonic The HedgeHog, Spiderman, A Pirate, and Cookie Monster this year 🙂 My husband and I have matching shirts, totally not planned but it turned out to be a great idea anyways.
